SV White Star has always had a quiet and peaceful existence, with some ups and downs in the lower provincial divisions. In the 1970s they expanded their team with a few youth teams and in 1982 they suddenly found themselves in the second provincial division. After that it went up and down for a while, but KSV White Star experienced some wonderful results, especially since 2013. That year they were promoted to the first provincial series.
National football and a clean sheet
The growth didn’t stop there. In 2015 they were actually in the national series, the fourth class. Barely for a year and that one year had major consequences. After another year in the highest provincial series, the club decided to take a sabbatical. In 2018 they were there again, but with a clean slate in the fourth and lowest regional series. They are now one step higher.
Are you planning a visit to the Belgian coast? Then be sure to visit White Star. It’s not very far from a beautiful stadium in Bray-Dunes (yes, France) and it has some beautiful and typical lower league elements. Their main stand is also one to enjoy. KSV White Star Adinkerke seems well on its way after a few difficult years. Let’s hope they are spared the increasingly emerging merger stories.
